Turning black and white

My growing interest in black and white photography and my frustration that one of the few b&w films I haven’t scanned is still in my camera has led me to taking drastic steps.

I cheated!

I’ve made my first photoshop action - one that turns a colour photo to a black and white. It does stuff like this:
