Turning black and white

My growing interest in black and white photography and my frustration that one of the few b&w films I haven’t scanned is still in my camera has led me to taking drastic steps.

I cheated!

I’ve made my first photoshop action - one that turns a colour photo to a black and white. It does stuff like this:

  1. photoshop is magical, no doubt. but nothing beats a real b/w photograph. u keep on, i’ll be around.

  2. A pro-photographer told me there was absolutely no advantage in someone like me - and here I assume he meant an enthusiastic amateur photographer, not a general tit whose shirt buttons weren’t all in the corresponding holes - would find no advantage in using black and white film or the BW setting on a digital.

    Photoshop is indeed magical.

  3. care for a tag
    for a change maybe???
    have fun ;)

  4. You have got to check this out. Billy Name’s mono shots from Warhol’s factory. More on it over on Christina’s site; you may need to scroll down a bit to find it.
